CBSE Improvement Exam 2016 Forms now available – Apply Online

CBSE has just made the CBSE Improvement Exam 2016 forms available on their website and finally made online application for CBSE Improvement Exam possible. There are a few changes in the application procedure from this year onward, students will have to apply for CBSE Improvement Exam online. It’s not yet confirmed weather offline forms will be available or not. To apply for CBSE Improvement Exam 2016, a student have to follow this procedure:

  1. Visit this website URL: http://59.179.16.89/cbse/2016/pvt/imp12.aspx (click to open in new window).
  2. Enter your 2015 CBSE roll number in the first text box.
  3. Enter your 5 digit school number in the second text box where it asks your 5 digit school number In case you appeared as a private candidate and don’t have a school number then you have to enter 99999).
  4. Enter your examination center number, please refer to your 2015 CBSE admit card for this.
  5. Click on proceed and fill up your details and make the payment online or through E-Challan from HDFC Bank or ICICI Bank or via Demand Draft.
  6. To upload your scanned color photo and scanned copy of your signature (Must be in .JPG format and under 50 KB size), visit this website URL: http://59.179.16.89/cbse/2016/pvt/photoup.aspx (click to open in new window).
  7. To make payment, visit this website URL: http://59.179.16.89/cbse/2016/pvt/rchkfee.aspx (click to open in new window). Fees structure is given here: http://www.improvementexam.com/fees-structure-for-cbse-improvement-exam/
  8. Note down your “Application Number” and “Roll Number”
  9. Follow the instructions on the “Confirmation Page”. If you missed the confirmation page then you can visit it again by logging in to this website URL http://59.179.16.89/cbse/2016/pvt/pvtConfPage.aspx (click to open in new window).
  10. To check your fees status, visit this website URL: http://59.179.16.89/cbse/2016/pvt/rchkFeeStatus.aspx (click to open in new window).
  11. Send the the following documents to CBSE via post (Preferably via Speed Post): Print out of the Confirmation Page, Photostat copy of your previous year’s marksheet and passing certificate, proof of fees (E-challan and if paid through demand draft, then sent that too)

Note from CBSE:

If your application status is not updated but amount is being debited from your account, then DO NOT TRY PAYING FEE AGAIN. You are also advised to not to change the payment mode if fee is already debited from your account.

Please contact your bank for transaction details and send an email to REGIONAL OFFICE concerned for updation of the application fee status along with application details viz Application no., Roll No., Name of Candidate, Subject(s) Applied, fee amount. Also send the transaction details received from the bank concerned. Please mention “Payment status not updated – your application number” in the subject line of the email to resolve it faster.

a)In case payment is made through e-Challan of HDFC Bank or HDFC Bank payment gateway:
For all queries including non-updation of fee status on CBSE portal, duplicate payments etc. please mark an e- mail to the respective Regional Officer and a copy of the same to following bank official:

  1. Last date pf improvement form is postponed till 1st week of January. So which is last date for submission.
