NIOS programmes and courses- Class 12th

This Course is designed for those who have passed the Xth standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board and would like to continue their education towards a Senior Secondary Certification, equivalent to XII standard.
Your can choose subjects from the Scheme of Studies given in Table. However, you will be required to successfully complete a minimum of five subjects with at least one language or almost two languages, which is compulsory for Certification.
Scheme of Studies
The Scheme of Studies for Secondary and Senior Secondary Courses is shown in Table-1. For obtaining a pass certificate, you are required to pass in a minimum of five subjects including one or maximum of two languages from Group ‘A’ and other three or four subjects from Group ‘B’. However, you are free to take up-to two additional subjects. Thus, in all you can choose a maximum of seven subjects.

You will get admission based on NIOS but it’s way tougher than CBSE so you have to study hard.

when the forms will be available for 11th and 12th . can we give both the exams (for 11 and 12 ) simultaneously or should we give 11th exams first and then 12th.

is getting good marks, something like 90% in nios board possible, if you are a serious and regularly studying student. i didnot get any info of nios toppers over the years.what was highest % in senior sec. previous year?
i was earlier in a CBSE school till Xth, then i switched to nios for jee.
and people have told me there is corruption in nios and you need to pay to get good marks. otherwise they do avg. marking. i don’t want to get involved in these. what should i do?
There is nothing like that, in NIOS regional center Noida, you will see how much corruption is there, you cant even turn your head while in exams as you will be thrown out by the invigilator. You will be eligible everywhere after the exam else if your institution has a strange eligibility criteria. There are a few toppers as NIOS is really tougher than CBSE, the maths syllabus of 12th is combined of 11th+12th.
i also had one more question, can nios student apply for National Institute of Design(NID)?

sir i have applied for cbse improvement exam.but i don’t think that i will pass in physics. can i give compartment or i should apply for nios on demand examination when this exam will held and when we will get our new marksheet. when the forms are available please reply

i have appeared for my secondary examinations in 2004 and in one subject i.e mathematics i was failed so i carried on and now i am doing my BA prog from Delhi University in final year, sir is it possible for me to give a improvement paper for maths now as i have cleared my secondary examinations in 2004 with compartment in mathematics. And one more thing is it possible to appear for senior secondary examination in just Mathematics and Physics subject?? please hepl me in this regards
