CBSE as private candidate (class 12th)

Here are the details for students who wish to give CBSE board exams of class 12th as private candidate:-

A student may appear in the CBSE Board Examination as  private candidate. The candidate does not have to attend regular school classes and exam is conducted along with the regular candidates.

To appear as a private candidate students have to fill the application form for private candidates with date of commencement exam 1st march. The forms are available from mid August till mid October.
The form is available at syndicate bank branches in CBSE offices and in some other syndicate bank branches, list of all syndicate bank branches can be seen here.

  2. Hi i have got comp in main exam 2017 maths subject and i failed in comp exam too . Now i will fill the form for improvement exam 2018 am i eligible and will cbse carry my other subject in the result of the improvement and what about my marksheet which i will get next year will it have all subject or only maths the one in which i have written the improvement exam .

    As you have said(in your link) that a advantage of appearing improvement exam over private exam for mains is that if give improvement exam my passing year will not Change!!!
    Would it mean to say that if I pass in2017-2018 and gave improvements in 2018-2019 my date of passing exam Will be 2017-2018????
    Would you please email this answer in detailed manner and the differences b/w the exams ???
